Homework Helpers / After School Care

Your Best Shot Leadership Academy is proud to announce the beginning of our new after school program for students in grades 2-5. Beginning February 13, 2017, Your Best Shot will provide Homework Help and After School Care for students in grades 2-5 from 3:30 pm until 6 pm, Monday-Thursday.

The format for the program will be assisting with homework, enjoying healthy snacks, playing games, and participating in some fun activities that will encourage growth and development for the students. Your child will have a blast and will work on developing habits that will nurture academic responsibility.

Drop off begins at 3:30 pm and pick up has to be made by 6 pm.

Your Best Shot Leadership Academy is eligible as an alternate after school stop for Wake County Public Schools, so your child can be dropped off here directly from school! (depending on school policies)

Phil Moses, Your Best Shot owner, will oversee the program.

“When we began the process of finding an undergraduate school for our daughter, at first we were really lost, this situation can generate an extremely stressful family environment. During this stressful period of time we had the opportunity of attending one incredible talk by Mr. Phil Moses, which was held for all the high schools swimmers on our daughter’s team. During his talk, he explained to all the students the college recruiting process and how they can improve and be proactive.
Isabella, my daughter, found this talk extremely educational and contacted him for another chance to talk more in depth about her situation. First he talked with her and with us by phone and then we met personally with him. He began by making her create a list of things she liked and disliked about places she wanted to attend. After she made her list, he explained to her and to us what to expect during the application process. This helped her a lot because she could figure what she wanted in a school. We met with him 2 more times in person but we talk by phone almost every week and before Isabella traveled for recruiting trips . He is a very easygoing person and available 24/7, that is extremely helpful when deciding on any college. Right now Isabella is studying and swimming at Duke University with a full scholarship and she could not be any happier. “
